This is a draft-render of a short video our administrator put together using some drone footage captured by Andrew Currie on October 22, 2015. It provides a bird’s eye view of the 60-acre campus and cruciform architectural design of the 70,000 square foot building that is part of our current a capital campaign (through 2017).
Until 2014, the 306′ cross formed by the metal roof sections (in contrast to the black rubber roof) had not been seen from below. When we tracked down the architect by phone (some 17 years after he designed the building), he informed the school that the cross was how his master plan began… everything else followed.
Until Google images and drones, the profound reality that every day our school operates in the shelter of the cross had gone unnoticed.
