In 1999, Calvary Baptist Academy changed its name to Calvary Christian Schools, and moved from Muskegon to its current location in Fruitport on Kendra Rd. This page is dedicated to former students, their families, and all others interested in celebrating the past, present and future of CCS!
I always enjoy speaking at Calvary Christian Schools as the students take ownership of their experience. I always work with a student running the technology and speak after a student-planned, student-practiced and student-led worship. It’s a blessing to see them faithfully training up the next generation of Christian leaders through both teaching and real-life experience.

Calvary is filled with great people! I always feel very welcome from the minute I walk in the doors. The students are submersed in a Christ-centered atmosphere, with encouragement, support, and Biblical council from teachers, staff, coaches, and leadership. This is a wonderful school, one big family grades K-12. The staff is incredible and shows love to the students, and the students are wonderful to each other. All of my children attended this fine school. I have been very pleased with how they conduct their business in school and with others. They are accredited through Association of Christian Schools International and North Central Accreditation (AdvancED). Many of those endorsements come from pastors of growing, vibrant churches represented in this school.
On a regular basis, I interact with students from many different public and private schools and school districts in the greater Muskegon area. With few exceptions, Calvary students show a drive for improvement and an intellectual curiosity that has clearly found nourishment in their families and their educational environment. I have been very pleased with the student/teacher ratio at CCS. The teachers really care about the kids and they take the time to make sure a student understands the material. With a smaller class size, the teacher can also give a little grace if the student needs a little extra time on an assignment. Tutors are also available.
